The Som Dona Hotel in Mallorca in Spain’s first women-only hotel, offering females aged 14 and up a distinctly feminine place to vacation, with no men, or tantrum-throwing toddlers in sight!
According to the Points Guy, not only is the hotel decorated with women in mind, the Som Dona also provides the things female travelers typically need in a hotel room – a decent hairdryer, hair straightener, makeup removal towelettes, an anti-fog mirror in the bathroom, and special hangers for delicate garments.
The Som Dona also offers typical resort-style amenities such as an exquisite rooftop bar and pool, and spa with treatments geared specifically towards women. Guests can partake in wine-tastings and women-focused fitness classes.
According to the Points Guy, solo travel, especially among women, is on the rise with Booking.com revealing 33 percent of women respondents revealed they had taken a solo trip.
