Love your favorite houseplant too much to leave the house? A new hotel in Kentucky – deemed the “world’s first plant-friendly hotel experience” – is making it easier for plant-lovers to take a vacation.

According to CNN, Elwood Hotel & Suites in Lexington, Kentucky will allow guests to bring their house plants with them during their stay at the hotel.
“At our hotel, your plants are guests, too,” CNN reports the hotel’s management as sharing on social media.
“It’s official. Pets are the new babies and plants are the new pets,” VisitLEX said in a statement reported by CNN. “People everywhere now consider their leafy buddies to be part of the family just like a beloved dog or cat.”

Hotel guests can pick from a variety of leafy rooms, including the ‘Gardener’s Premier Room’ featuring live plant decor from a local nursery and three large windows to let your favorite plant get some much-need sunlight.

Elwood Hotel & Suites is located in the heart of Lexington, just minutes away from Rupp Arena and within a short drive from Kentucky’s famous horse country. Not only is the hotel houseplant friendly, but they also welcome pets.
