Emirates has come up with a unique promo to entice pandemic-weary passengers back on board their planes again – the promise of funeral expenses being covered!
According to TravelPulse, the airline has promised to cover funeral expenses if passengers test positive for COVID-19 and later pass away from the virus after flying Emirates.
The promise comes after Emirates initially said they would cover passengers’ medical expenses and quarantine costs if they are diagnosed with the coronavirus in the course of their travels, ,em>TravelPulse reports.
“We are putting our customers first, and we believe they will welcome this initiative,” Emirates Group CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said in a press release reported by TravelPulse.
The coverage would entitle anyone who contracts the coronavirus in transit $1,765 for their burial through NEXtCARE and is available for travel between now and October 31, 2020.
