St. Thomas will see cruises once again dock in its port on November 10th.

The caribbean island was hit by two hurricanes in September, with hurricanes Maria and Irma leaving the U.S. Virgin Islands looking like a war zone, with knocked down trees, no power and severe building damage.
The government of the U.S. Virgin Islands announced on Monday Royal Caribbean’s ‘Adventure of the Seas’ would be the first cruise-liner to visit the island following the hurricanes.

“Welcoming cruise visitors back to the U.S. Virgin Islands is key to our economic recovery,” tourism commissioner Beverly Nicholson-Doty said in a statement.

The island relies heavily on tourism for their economy and government officials have been working tirelessly to restore some of St. Thomas’ most famous beaches in anticipation of the Adventure of the Seas arrival.
