Missing Hiker Actor Julian Sands’ Remains Found in California

Remains found in a mountainous area of Southern California have been identified as actor Julian Sands.
The actor had been missing since early this year after he went hiking in the Mount Baldy Wilderness Area. Search efforts at the time were hampered due to the risk of avalanches and thick snow.
Hikers found the remains over the weekend, with San Bernadino County Sheriff’s Department confirming the sad news.
“The identification process for the body located on Mt. Baldy on June 24 has been completed and was positively identified as 65-year-old Julian Sands of North Hollywood. The manner of death is still under investigation, pending further test results,” the department said in a press release. “We would like to extend our gratitude to all the volunteers that worked tirelessly to locate Mr. Sands.”
According to authorities, the cause of death is yet to be determined.
