Delta is planning to add a little more bang for your buck if you’re flying internationally via economy.
The airline is preparing to glam things up a little by providing free cocktails, a larger food menu, and complimentary hot towel service.
According to Travel+Leisure, the free cocktails include a swanky sounding Bellini, with food options appearing a tad more gourmet with bistro-style items inspired by the Delta One menus. Passengers will be able to pick from different appetizers and main courses, including Delta’s famous Harissa shrimp. As the plane descends, passengers will be treated to complimentary chocolates.
“This is about investing in every single customer who chooses Delta, no matter where they sit on the plane,” said Allison Ausband, Delta’s Senior Vice President — In-Flight Service. “The thoughtful touches we’re investing in throughout the new Main Cabin experience were designed by flight attendants with one goal in mind — delivering an exceptional experience that our customers will rave about and one that our team, the best in the business, is proud to deliver.”
Delta has already tested out the upgraded economy international service on 14,000 hours of flight time, according to Travel+Leisure and will reportedly roll out the newly revamped service on all international flights starting in November.
