An official announcement from the Palace regarding The Coronation of His Majesty The King revealed the historic event will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
The Coronation Ceremony will be held at London’s Westminster Abbey, where British monarchs have been crowned for the last 900 years. Following a nearly thousand-year tradition, the Archbishop of Canterbury will conduct the Ceremony.
“The Ceremony will see His Majesty King Charles III crowned alongside The Queen Consort,” Buckingham Palace announced.
“The Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.”
