We’ve all been there…the dreaded delays or cancelled flights, leading to a longer-than anticipated airport stay. In an effort to ease travelers’ frustrations and help the time pass, airports are looking to add an amenity – movie theaters.
Following in the footsteps of airports currently adopting the trend, Portland International Airport (PDX) is the next to add a movie theater, offering a “vintage-style cinema for passengers on the go.”
Although PDX will not feature any current blockbuster films, they do intend to show a number of short films created by local filmmakers.
Airports such as Minneapolis Saint-Paul International Airport, Singapore’s Changi Airport and Hong Kong International also offer this feature to travelers.
