Airbnb Lists Life-Size Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse

A life-size Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse, complete with pink waterslide and personal cinema, is coming to Airbnb in celebration of Barbie’s 60th anniversary.
The three-story oceanfront villa consists of two bedrooms, two bathrooms and features an infinity pool with ocean views, a DJ booth, meditation terrace, sports court and more. It will be available for a two-night stay from October 27th – 29th and in a nod to Barbie’s 60th anniversary, the cost is only $60 per night!
“Before women were allowed to open their own bank accounts, Barbie bought her first Dreamhouse,” the company said in a press release. “As a modern homeowner and entrepreneur, Barbie is very excited to open her home by listing it on Airbnb to share her story and to continue to inspire fans around the world.”
Not only will the lucky vacationers get to experience life inside a real Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse, they will also get to take a tour of Barbie’s walk-in closet featuring clothes from Barbie’s 60 years of fashion.
“To celebrate this once in a lifetime stay, Airbnb will make a donation to one of the charities involved in The Barbie Dream Gap Project on your behalf,” the Airbnb post reads. “Research has identified that starting at age five, many girls are less likely than boys to view their own gender as smart and begin to lose confidence in their own competence.”
The lucky guests will also get to interact with some powerful career females, with the listing stating, “Even though I’ll be out of town, some of my friends will swing by to inspire and teach you new things. Learn how to fence with Ibtihaj Muhammad, create an exquisite meal in my fully stocked kitchen with chef Gina Clarke-Helm, get a makeover with hairstylists from Mane Addicts Creator Collective while meeting with celebrity hairstylist and girl boss Jen Atkin, and even take a trip to the Columbia Memorial Space Center with pilot and aerospace engineer Jill Meyers. I hope the stay is a reminder that you can be anything!”
