These Are The Most Searched for Honeymoon Destinations

Whether it’s sipping cocktails on a sun-drenched tropical beach or smooching under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, newlyweds have the choice of some amazing destinations in which to spend their honeymoon.
Luxury travel company Kuoni wanted to know which honeymoon destinations were the most popular and so they turned to Pinterest to analyze thousands of boards dedicated to honeymoons.
According to Kuoni, these 10 destinations are the most searched for honeymoon locales:
10. Costa Rica
Kuoni reports Costa Rica, which offers honeymooners the opportunity to enjoy both the Pacific and Caribbean coast, together with adventure-seeking in the jungle, has been pinned on 729 boards.
9. India
Pinned on 734 boards, honeymooners are drawn to India’s exotic locations, in particular the beaches fringed by the Indian Ocean.
8. Greece
With its whitewashed buildings, turquoise seas and vibrant nightlife, the nation of a thousand islands has been pinned on 757 honeymoon boards.
7. Mexico
Pinned on a 929 boards, honeymooners love the variety of options Mexico has to offer from the beaches to the historic Mayan ruins.
6. Thailand
Not surprisingly, Thailand makes the top ten list of most searched for honeymoon destinations with Kuoni reporting the country has been pinned on 980 boards.
5. Ireland
The shamrock isle comes in at number 5 thanks to its “impressive beaches and landscapes,” Kuoni reports. Pinned on 980 boards, Ireland offers honeymooners a chance to experience Celtic history and culture.
4. The Maldives
Located in the Indian Ocean, The Maldives is the epitome of tropical romance, so it’s no wonder the destination has been pinned a whopping 981 times.
3. Hawaii
Coming in at number three are the Hawaiian islands, making its way onto 992 boards. According to Kuoni, Hawaii is a great place for couples looking to island-hop.
2. Italy
“Romance is everywhere you turn in Italy,” Kuoni reports, so it’s no surprise the country has been pinned on 997 honeymoon boards. According to Kuomi, honeymooners are particularly drawn to the coastal areas of the Amalfi Coast, Capri, and Sorrento.
1. Bali
The Indonesian island of Bali is renowned for being a romantic destination and comes in at number 1 on Kuoni’s list. Pinned on 998 boards, Kuoni reports Bali “packs a punch when it comes to the diversity of landscapes and activities it offers – from perfect beaches to dramatic waterfalls and fascinating jungle full of opportunities for adventure.”
