The World’s Top City Destinations for 2023 Revealed

Travelers cannot get enough of one iconic city – Paris!
According to CNN, the French capital has once again been named the world’s most attractive city destination by global market research company Euromonitor International.
The Top 100 City Destinations Index 2023, produced in partnership with data company Lighthouse, ranked cities worldwide based on tourism, sustainability, economic performance, and health and safety.
CNN reports that European cities reigned supreme on the list, with the report attributing Europe’s success to “fast-paced urbanization and widespread technology adoption.”
“Improving sustainability, transportation networks and social impact are some of the key goals cities are embracing today to increase competitiveness, improve their tourism offer and deliver a seamless customer journey,” Euromonitor revealed.
Europe cinched 7 out of the top 10 cities on the list. Tokyo also entered the top ten for the first time, with the report attributing it to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, improved tourism infrastructure, and the weakened Yen currency.
According to Euromonitor International, these are the top 20 city destinations for 2023:
