After winning the Travelers Choice Award for the best water park in the world category for eight consecutive years, Siam Park has gone one step further and been named the number one theme park in the world.
Siam Park, located in Tenerife in the Canary Islands, has been recognized as the best theme park in the world by TripAdvisor’s Travelers Choice Awards.
The Thai-inspired park was designed by Christoph Kiessling and features Thai-style buildings, Thai food, a floating market, and numerous water park activities for adrenaline junkies to those looking for a more laid-back experience.
Siam Park is renowned for its Tower of Power slide, which has a height of approximately 90 feet and a near-verticle drop. Riders are propelled at nearly 50 miles per hour before landing in the middle of an aquarium filled with sharks and sting rays.
For the non-thrill-seekers, Siam Park’s Mai Thai River is a dual lazy river, with the longest route taking 30 minutes to complete.
“This is an achievement that is the fruit of the hard work and dedication of all of this who are part of this company,” Kiessling said in a statement regarding the Travelers Choice Award.
