Carnival Cruise Line has changed their smoking policy, which could leave smokers found having a sneaky cigarette kicked off the ship.
According to Travel Pulse, Carnival’s updated policy now warns passengers that anyone caught smoking, or vaping in non-specified areas of the ship will be fined $500 and possibly the offending passenger, together with all other passengers sharing the same cabin could be asked to disembark the ship at the next port of call.
“Guests who are disembarked for violating our policy will be responsible for all financial charges and expenses to return home, and no refund of their unused cruise fare will be provided,” the policy notes.
The smoking ban includes cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars, vaporizers, pipes and marijuana. Currently smoking is only allowed in the casino, nightclub and designated areas on the outside of the ship. Smoking on cabin balconies is prohibited, together with smoking in all staterooms.
