Six Flags Great America to Debut DC Comic-Themed Rides

Six Flags Great America has teamed up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to debut a new DC superhero-themed area set to debut this weekend.
According to NBC, the park’s Yankee Harbor area will feature a series of reimagined attractions where iconic DC Comic heroes and villains take center stage among the section’s three rollercoasters.

Yankee Harbor’s Vertical Velocity will now be known as The Flash: Vertical Velocity. The park’s log-flume rollercoaster, the Yankee Clipper, has been rebranded as Aquaman Splashdown, and the Whirligig coaster is now the DC Super-Villains Swing.
Restaurants and shops throughout the park will also be getting a DC Comics makeover with sweet treats served by Captain Cold Ice Cream!
“Six Flags Great America prides itself on bringing guests new, innovative and thrilling experiences each season,” park president John Krajnak said in a press release. “DC Universe is the largest and most exciting park enhancement in recent memory. This newly branded area brings together some of DC’s most iconic Super Heroes and Super-Villains for an exhilarating and immersive experience.”
