Retired Couple Have Spent 1,000 Days on a Cruise Ship!

A retired couple from Virginia just hit a special milestone – they have spent a thousand days at sea on a Carnival Cruise Line ship!
According to Cruise Industry News, Robert and Nancy Houchens have spent a thousand days onboard the Carnival Pride.

The sea-faring couple is currently in Europe on back-to-back cruises and plans to keep cruising as much as possible during their retirement.
“For us, cruising is a way of life,” Nancy told Carnival in an interview reported by Cruise Industry News. “Our goal was to sell everything we owned and pretty much live on cruise ships. And we’ve done a pretty good job of it since we’ve retired.”
“People from all walks of life, all cultures, all age groups, everybody cruises Carnival,” Robert added. “We cruise Carnival because of the people. It isn’t the destinations for us anymore, it’s the journey – and the biggest part of the journey is the people.”
