Iceberg off Newfoundland Becomes Tourist Mecca

Source: Reuters

One small town in Newfoundland, Canada is drawing tourists from around the globe – thanks to one huge iceberg floating off of its coast.

The tiny town of Ferrytown is home to around 500 residents and is situated on what is called ‘Iceberg Alley,’ so it’s not uncommon for the occasional mass of ice to float on by.
But this newest iceberg, which popped up over Easter weekend, is not only large – it has also seemed to want to make Ferryland its home – at least for the time being.
Ferryland’s Mayor, Adrian Kavanagh revealed to CTV, “It’s the biggest one I’ve ever seen around here!”
