Just in time for the most wonderful time of the year, the Cleveland house featured in the hit 1983 movie A Christmas Story has been listed for sale – “Frageely” leg lamp and all!
The iconic property, the home of young Ralphie in the beloved movie, was originally built in 1895 but has been transformed into A Christmas Story-themed museum and Bed & Breakfast in recent years.
According to USA Today, the property was purchased by film buff Brian Jones for $150,000 in 2004 on eBay. Jones announced he is putting the property with the Bumpus house next door, a museum/gift shop across the street, and some nearby lots up for sale for an undisclosed amount.
“You’re looking at pretty much the most natural, holiday themed house and museum in the world. And now it can all be yours,” a website for the property sale reveals. “Wall-to-wall anecdotes throughout, this lovely classic is both spacious and intimate. Nostalgically updated with somewhat ancient appliances, you’ll be sure to be the talk of the town when you own this world-famous house and museum based on a beloved Christmas classic film.”
