When you think of the top tourist attractions in Europe, historical sites such as the Tower of London, the Acropolis, the Eiffel Tower, or Stonehenge likely come to mind. However, a surprising place has just been voted Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction by the World Travel Awards.
The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, Ireland, has won this year’s leading attraction in Europe award – and it’s not the first time the attraction has won the coveted title. It first won the award back in 2015 and annually ranks as the best tourist attraction in Dublin.
Other nominees for Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction were:
Batumi Boulevard, Georgia
Buckingham Palace, England
Castle in Love with the Wind, Bulgaria
Dark Sky Alqueva, Portugal
EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, Ireland
Game of Thrones Studio Tour, Northern Ireland
Passadicos do Paiva, Portugal
Serralves Foundation, Porto, Portugal
Sagrada Familia, Spain
The Acropolis of Athens, Greece
The Eiffel Tower, France
The Roman Colosseum, Italy
The Guinness Storehouse gives Guinness lovers the chance to experience the history, heart, and soul of Ireland’s most iconic beer. A visit to the Home of Guinness includes a behind-the-scenes look at the craft of brewing a perfect pint of the Black Stuff, an exhibition and cinema room dedicated to vintage Guinness advertising, and the chance to enjoy a pint in the Gravity Bar while enjoying Dublin’s best view.
