Sorry Florida, Disney’s newest – and largest – ship, won’t be berthed in the Sunshine State.
According to The Points Guy, the vessel will be based in Singapore for Southeast Asia voyages once finished.
During an official announcement, Disney said sailings on the yet-to-be-named vessel would begin in 2025 but didn’t release any details regarding itineraries or onboard features.
The Points Guy reports the new ship will be 44 percent larger than the Disney Wish and bigger than all but six other cruise ships in the world.
Once finished, the vessel is expected to carry approximately 6,000 passengers and 2,300 crew and will be one of the first cruise ships powered by green methanol.
“We are incredibly excited to make Singapore the home port to our seventh-launched ship, which will sail from here year-round starting in 2025,” Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, said during a press release.
