Delta is amping up its long-haul flights – and for the first time in five years will be offering a non-stop route from New York to Stockholm, Sweden.
The daily flight will debut on June 1 from New York’s JFK airport to Stockholm’s Arlanda airport and will continue through the Fall.
“We’re focused on bringing back the routes and destinations our customers love. Customers planning next summer’s European vacation will discover more routes, premium seats and destinations in 2022,” a spokesperson for Delta said in a statement reported by the Points Guy. “This will include daily service to Stockholm from New York-JFK starting June 1, 2022 with Boeing 767-300 aircraft.”
According to Simple Flying, Delta will have a total of 25 long-haul destinations by next summer, serving 20 European destinations, flights to Africa and the middle east, and Sao Paulo in Brazil.
