Walt Disney World Axes Historic Electrical Night Parade

Walt Disney World announced it will no longer be running its famous Main Street Electrical Night Parade at Magic Kingdom.

October 9 marks the last day the historic parade will take place at the Walt Disney World Resort.

For a limited time, the parade will continue after Oct. 9 at the Disneyland Resort in California before it’s gone forever!

The announcement, posted to Walt Disney World’s official website, stated “We wanted you to be among the first to know while there’s still time to plan a trip to Walt Disney World Resort to enjoy the magic and nostalgia of the parade one last time.”
The nightly parade made its debut in 1972. It features all the Disney character classics on brightly colored floats.
