New mosaic at the Times Square Subway Station!

Video shows the new mosaic installation by artist Nick Cave at the Times Square-42nd Street subway station in New York City.
The intricate mosaic features figures based on Cave’s famous Soundsuits, colorful costumes made with a variety of textures and patterns. The mosaic is part of a three-piece installation that will extend from Times Square station to Grand Central station.
The transformation of Times Square station included a new entrance complete with a new stairway and elevator. The makeover is meant to make the station more welcoming and less confusing for tourists.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority said the new entrance cost a total of $40 million, with $10 million of that being paid by the owner of One Times Square for the new elevators.
After Michelle Go was pushed to her death on a subway platform at Times Square station in January, the MTA announced in February that it would launch a pilot program for platform screen doors. Three stations were selected for the proposed pilot, including Times Square, but not the platform where she was killed.
