LGBT+ Travel Awards Crowns Best Beach in Mexico

Riviera Nayarit has been crowned the best beach destination in Mexico at the LGBT+ Travel Awards Mexico 2022.
The awards, which took place in Guadalajara, Mexico, are hosted by UNET LGBT+ – a non-governmental association in Mexico that promotes and advocates for inclusivity in the country’s hotels, resorts, and destinations. Winners are voted for by the public online.
Two of Riviera Nayarit’s resorts also earned the gold award: The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort was named the best hotel in Mexico and the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit came out tops in the ‘Hotels We Love’ category.
Located on the Pacific Coast, Riviera Nayarit is home to the resort towns of Nuevo Vallarta, Punta de Mita, renowned surf destination Sayulita, and a variety of quaint fishing villages. According to BreakingTravelNews, Riviera Nayarit has become a favorite destination for same-sex weddings and celebrations.
“The Riviera Nayarit and the whole of the state of Nayarit embrace diversity, inclusion and respect for all,” Juan Antonio Arellano, President of UNET LGBT+, said in a statement reported by BreakingTravelNews. “Their visitors will be able to witness it.”
