The beautiful – and most photographed – Italian town of Portofino has had enough of tourists taking selfies.
According to the BBC, the problem is due to tourists clogging up Portofino’s iconic beauty spots while they try to capture the perfect selfie.
The mayor of the picturesque Italian town has introduced no-waiting zones that could result in tourists being fined up to 275 euros (approx. $303) if they hang around too long in these areas.
The rule was implemented over the Easter weekend and will stay in effect through October to cover what is expected to be massive tourist numbers over the busy summer months.
