Prepare for a little bit of lunar luxury with a luxury space resort getting ready to land in Las Vegas.

According to Travel+Leisure, the Las Vegas strip is preparing to send guests into orbit courtesy of a brand new moon-themed resort.
The 5.5 million square foot hotel is the brainchild of Canadian-based company Moon World Resorts Inc. and will cost a whopping $5 billion to construct.

Featuring a 735 feet tall and 650 feet wide replica of the moon that will accommodate 4,000 guest rooms and suites, Moon Resorts Las Vegas will also offer a variety of retail, clubs, restaurants and lounges, and a 75,000 sq. ft. spa.
Naturally, no moon-themed resort is complete without its own planetarium – and since this is Las Vegas, the resort will have a casino for guests to win big along with a theater, event center, a 10,000 seat arena, and a nightclub positioned underneath a spaceship.

However, according to Travel+Leisure, the main draw for visitors willing to spend an additional $500 will be the resort’s very own lunar colony allowing guests to spend 90 minutes exploring the 10-acre space via moon buggies to traverse the lunar craters. Access to the lunar colony will take the form of a roller-coaster-like “moon shuttle” that will circle the exterior of the hotel on the way up to the lunar colony.

Travel+Leisure reports Moon Resorts Las Vegas will take around four years to build with an opening date slated for sometime in 2026 or 2027.
