Finland has topped the world’s happiest country list for the sixth year in a row.
According to the latest World Happiness Report, Finland was joined by Nordic neighbors Norway, Iceland, Sweden, and Denmark in the top ten, with each country scoring very high on measures including life expectancy, GDP per capita, social support, community generosity, and low corruption.
At the bottom of the world happiness rankings are Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Lebanon, and Afghanistan.
The United States came in at number 15 on this year’s list but has yet to crack the top dozen since the reports began. The UK, which has dropped for four years on the list, came in at number 19.
These are the top ten happiest countries in the world for 2023:
