Crews aboard a Southwest Airlines flight delivered an extra passenger over the weekend – a newborn baby!
The flight, headed from Philadelphia to Orlando, diverted to South Carolina after the woman went into labor and the baby was born mid-air.
Speaking to Today, Southwest airlines spokeswoman, Melissa Ford, revealed, “Medical personnel onboard assisted with the delivery. Emergency medical technicians met the flight upon landing and transported the parents and baby to an area hospital.”
One passenger onboard the flight took to Twitter to praise the flight crew for doing a “great job.”
