The National Park Service has released its free entrance days for 2022 – and visitors could save up to $35 per vehicle at any of the country’s national parks.
On five days in 2022, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission for everyone – and with more than 400 parks available, we can’t wait to include the freebie in our staycation plans this year.
Mark your calendar for these entrance-free dates in 2022:
January 17 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
April 16 – First day of National Park Week
August 4 – Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
September 24 – National Public Lands Day
November 11 – Veterans Day
The entrance fee waiver for fee-free days does not cover amenities or user fees for activities such as boat launching, camping, special tours, and transportation.
