The cruise, aboard the MSC Poesia, will depart from the ports of Civitavecchia, Genoa, Marseille, and Barcelona on January 4, 5, 6, and 7, respectively before touring the Mediterranean, CruiseIndustryNews reports.
From there, the MSC Poesia will traverse the Suez Canal and the Red Sea before sailing around Africa and crossing the Atlantic Ocean to Brazil, the Caribbean, the United States, and Canada.
After exploring North America, the cruise will return to Europe via Greenland and Iceland.
According to a press release from MSC Cruises, “highlights of this inspiring itinerary include the Holy Land and marvels of the ancient world from Luxor to Petra, African jewels as varied as Zanzibar, the Seychelles and Cape Town, the brightest pearls of the Caribbean en route to New York City, Nova Scotia and Quebec, not forgetting a selection of Northern Europe’s finest cities. The route also features an exploration of the Brazilian Amazon: after an overnight stop in Rio and calls at Salvador de Bahia and Belém the ship will sail up the Amazon River as far as Manaus, in the heart of the rainforest.”
