Google just released its top trending searches for 2022, and for the first time since the pandemic began, Coronavirus didn’t make the list!
Regarding travel and global destination searches, London landmarks topped both the Google Maps “Top Scenic Spots” and “Top Cultural Landmarks” lists, possibly due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, who passed away in September, came in at number four on the top overall Google searches for 2022.
According to Google, these destinations topped the Google Maps search list for 2022:
