Norwegian Cruise Line has announced they plan to officially return to sailing in late July.

The cruise line will restart their sailing itinerary with cruises in Europe and the Caribbean, the company said in a statement.
“The Cruise Line will restart operations at a reduced capacity with Norwegian Jade, Joy, and Gem as the first of its 17-ship fleet to welcome guests back on board,” the company announced.

“Over a year after we initially suspended sailings, the time has finally come when we can provide our loyal guests with the news of our great cruise comeback,” Norwegian’s President and CEO Harry Sommer shared.

According to USA Today, Norwegian will kick off their official return to sailing with 7-day itineraries visiting the Greek Isles aboard the Norwegian Jade on July 25. Caribbean cruises departing from Montego Bay in Jamaica will commence on August 7 aboard the Norwegian Joy, and the Norwegian Gem is expected to begin sailing out of Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic beginning August 15.

Passengers who book sailings with embarkation dates before October 31 will need to show proof they have received the COVID-19 vaccination and be tested prior to boarding, USA Today reports.
