Just call it Revenge Travel!
After two years of dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, Americans are looking to pack their suitcases and get out of town this summer – and a new survey from The Vacationer has narrowed down exactly where they’re going and which US residents are most likely to take that much-longer for summer vacay.
According to The Vacationer, more than 80 percent of American adults are planning to travel this summer, with just under 60 percent of those polled traveling domestically. 6.66 percent plan to travel internationally and 13.78 percent will travel both domestically and internationally.
The Vacationer found that 44.80 percent of Americans are planning more than one trip this summer and residents from the East South Central Region (Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi) are most likely to take a summer vacation this year. On the other hand, according to The Vacationer American adults in the Mountain region (Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada) are least likely to travel this summer.
