With most international travel off limits right now thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, many of us are eyeing weekend domestic getaways – so what better time than now for Travel+Leisure to reveal their ‘Top Ten Cities in the United States’!

The August edition of Travel+Leisure just hit newsstands revealing their annual ‘The World’s Best Awards’ where readers vote for their favorite cities, islands, hotels, airlines, cruises and more.

“This year’s World’s Best Awards survey closed on March 2, just before widespread stay-at-home orders were implemented as a result of COVID-19,” Travel+Leisure announced. “The results, therefore, reflect our readers’ experiences before the pandemic. We hope that this year’s honorees will inspire your trips to come – wherever they may be.”
According to Travel+Leisure, one US city came out tops once again in their ‘Top 10 Cities United Stated’ – Charleston, South Carolina!

“The lowcountry beauty topped the list of domestic destinations for the eighth year running,” the travel publication revealed. “Its flourishing culinary scene continues to impress, with diverse options that include Sichuan and Gullah cuisines. Meanwhile, its inviting streets and intimate hotels remain as romantic as ever.”
