Human Heart Found on Southwest Plane

A human heart found onboard a Dallas-bound Southwest flight caused the plane to return to Seattle.
According to the Seattle Times, the heart was being sent via a courier onboard Flight 3606 from Sacramento to Seattle. Unfortunately, someone forgot to unload the heart once the plane reached its destination.
Southwest Airlines flight, had to turn back. Three hours into it flight, after human heart was found inboard. Passengers on the flight, were quickly using their #Smartphones, just to see, how long a #Humanheart could survive. Amazing.

The heart was being sent to a tissue processor to recover a valve for use in a future transplant, with the Seattle Times reporting the delay did not impair the heart.
After a five-hour delay the plane took off once more for Dallas.
