Fans of rock and roll can now stay in a giant guitar-shaped hotel thanks to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s newest $1.5 billion expansion.
The South Florida guitar-shaped building boasts 638 guest rooms and suites covering 34 levels and includes a 1,100 square foot King Suite. All rooms come with the latest technology and luxuries from flat-screen TVs and – of course – guitar rentals to unleash your inner rock star!
Encased in sunlight reflecting aqua glass, the new hotel addition comes alive with neon lights at night and can even be viewed from the air by passengers flying into nearby Fort Lauderdale International Airport.
“When you drive up … you come in and you realize you’re in a very different kind of resort. There’s an emphasis on natural materials, teak and stone and live plants, water and content and music. It pulses with not-so-much the literal iconography of music but the sound of music,” USA Today report architect David Rockwell, who worked on the building’s interiors and experiential features, as saying.
According to USA Today, in addition to the 450 ft. guitar-shaped building, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino also added an Oasis Tower, featuring 168 rooms along with swim-up suites.
