Barack Obama is bringing the world’s best national parks to Netflix subscribers.
The former president is narrating a five-part docuseries coming to Netflix on April 13 and each episode will highlight one global national park with a focus on preservation.
“Spanning five continents, the series brims with wonder, humor and optimism as each episode tells the story of a national park through the lives of its wildest residents — both big and exceptionally small — and explores our changing relationship with wilderness,” the show’s synopsis reveals.
According to Netflix, Our Great National Parks will include Kenya’s Tsavo National Park, Indonesia’s Gunung Leuser National Park, and California’s Monterey Bay.
“Join me in celebration of our planet’s greatest parks and wildernesses,” Obama reveals in the newly released trailer for the show. “When humanity started to protect these wild places, we did not realize how important they would become. They’re a haven for endangered species and hotbed for scientific research.”
“This is a journey through the natural wonders of our shared birthright,” Obama concludes.
