If winter weather has you feeling blue, prepared to be even more depressed as you see the gorgeous, sun-kissed, tropical beaches that have made Trip Advisor’s top beaches of 2016. The top three have the Turks and Caicos, Brazil and Cuba all on our winter getaway travel radar!

Coming in first place on the travel site is Grace Bay, Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos. The site claims Grace Bay has been one of the top favorites year after year thanks to its long stretch of soft white sand and beautiful blue water.
With over 3,700 Trip Advisor visitors rating it excellent and only 76 rating it average no wonder it has topped the list!

Coming in second place is Baia do Sancho, Fernando de Noronha in Brazil. Visitors to the travel site have commented on what a fantastic place it is for snorkeling with a wide array of beautiful, colorful fish.
One commentator wrote of the beach, “It’s really stunning!!…Really worth the visit and prepare the camera for some incredible shots!”
Another gushed, “This is by far one of the most amazing beaches I have ever been in my life.”
Judging by the comments this isn’t really the best beach to get to if you have mobility issues – there is a long set of steps you must climb down to reach the actual beach.

In third place is Playa Paraiso, Cayo Largo in Cuba, Playa Paraiso means ‘Paradise Beach’ and when you look at the drool worthy pictures you will understand why! This secluded beach offers year round calm waters, white sugary sands and turquoise waters.
One reviewer wrote, “It is simply fantastic, there are no words to describe it, white and fresh sand even under the hottest sun, calm and transparent water.
Another exclaimed, “It really lives up to its name. It’s the closest to heaven that I’ve ever been! White sand and blue sea…”
