According to
Variety, numerous sources close to the production revealed that Mike White, the hit show’s creator, has been spending time in Thailand scoping out sites.

The White Lotus were filmed at Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii and Italy, and it is possible season 3 could take place at one of the Four Seasons resorts in Thailand.
Thailand has plenty of Four Seasons resorts in the country, with hotels in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, the island of Koh Samui, and the mountainous jungles of the Golden Triangle region.
White previously hinted at the possibility of setting season 3 in Asia, revealing earlier this year, “The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex. I think the third season, it would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death in Eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round.”
