It’s been two years since children graced the outside gardens of the White House for the annual Easter Egg Roll, but as the coronavirus pandemic gradually slows down the much-loved annual springtime event will return to our nation’s capital this April.
According to a press release from the White House, the Easter Egg Roll will take place on April 18. Members of the general public can win a ticket via a lottery, which opens on Friday, March 25 and runs through Thursday, March 31.
Lottery results will be announced on April 7.
Each year, souvenir wooden eggs are given to children attending the event and if you are unable to snag a ticket to the Easter Egg Roll, this year’s eggs will be available to purchase online. According to a memo from the White House, 2022’s eggs will include a special golden egg featuring President Biden’s dogs Champ and Major.
