She’s the British royal who has spent her life traveling the world, but when it comes to picking a favorite vacation spot, there’s one destination very dear to Queen Camilla’s heart.
According to the
Express, Queen Camilla revealed in an interview
You magazine her favorite holiday spot is a place she used to visit as a child.
“Every year, we went on holiday to the island of Ischia, just off Naples,” the queen told the magazine, revealing it also sparked a lifelong love affair with Italian cuisine.
“There were endless lunches of vitello al limone [veal escalope with lemon], fried zucchini, lots of fresh fish and pasta,” Queen Camilla told
You. “It instilled a lifelong passion for Italian food.”
The Queen was so fond of Ischia that she even took her own children there later in life.
