It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and in honor of America’s educators, Norwegian Cruise Line is relaunching its Norwegian Giving Joy recognition program.
According to Breaking Travel News, the program provides educators with free cruises and the chance to win up to $25,000 for their schools.
“We’re so proud to celebrate educators, the unsung heroes of our communities, with our Norwegian’s Giving Joy program,” Harry Sommer, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line, said in a statement reported by Breaking Travel News. “After receiving more than 46,000 nominations and over one million votes within the first year of this contest, we knew this was a worthy cause that is near and dear to people’s hearts. Teachers are tenacious, they are inspiring, and more than anything, they are dream makers.”
The contest, which runs from May 2 through June 3, 2022, will give 100 teachers an exclusive sailing aboard the Norwegian Prima – the company’s newest ship. The five-day sailing will depart from Galveston, Texas on October 27, 2022.
As a bonus, the top three grand prize winners will receive an additional seven-day cruise for two people from the United States or Canada and a donation to their schools.
