The Centers for Disease Control has updated its cruise guidance, revealing vaccinated passengers may forego coronavirus testing.
According to USA Today, the CDC said fully vaccinated passengers do not need to be tested during embarkation and disembarkation unless they are displaying COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to the virus within 14 days of their sailing.
Testing will still be required for vaccinated passengers, although the CDC has, according to USA Today, advised cruise lines it’s acceptable to use approved antigen testing, however, PCR testing is preferred.
