It’s hard not to associate Hawaii with surfing, so it seems fitting that a surf-inspired hotel is set to open in Waikiki Beach, the birthplace of modern-day wave riding!
According to Luxury Travel Magazine, The Twin Fin will open in Waikiki this November.
Formerly known as the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, The Twin Fin has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation that also includes being named after the iconic two-finned surfboard. Known for casual, playful, and cruisy surfing, a two-finned surfboard is perfect for the small to medium waves guests will find directly in front of the hotel.

“Surfing was cultivated in our backyard and shared by Duke Kahanamoku with the world, so of course we embrace its energy and attitude and celebrate the timeless charm of surfing’s golden days. We welcome the curious. We invite those who long to experience and be part of the story of Waikiki—the birthplace of not just modern surfing but a lifestyle,” The Twin Fin website reveals.
“We’re a retreat. A place to relax and take in the beauty of Waikiki’s iconic sights and rolling swells, from sunrise to sunset. We’re a gathering place to connect with others and share memorable, meaningful moments. We’re a hub for discovering local music, art, and a lasting connection with our island community. And with stunning, front-row views of Waikiki Beach, we’re a place to reflect on the events of the day. And plan the adventures that lie ahead.”

According to Luxury Travel Magazine, The Twin Fin has also partnered with Surfline, the world’s leading company for wave forecasting and surf reports, to install 3 HD cameras that will stream real-time surf conditions throughout the hotel. Best of all, hotel guests will also receive a Surfline Premium membership discount to use after their stay.
