If safety is a big concern when traveling, you may want to head to Tokyo, Japan.

The city has been named ‘safest city in the world’ by The Active Times, which takes into account Institute for Economics & Peace’s 2019 Global Peace Index, the 2019 Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report and The Economist Intelligence Unit’s 2019 Safest Cities Index.

According to The Active Times, Tokyo came out tops even though it’s one of the largest cities in the world. With high personal safety for residents and visitors, Tokyo also has “enhanced digital security, including reliable and secure internet access, and ranks second in health security, meaning food, water and air quality are all exceptionally safe there.”

1. Tokyo, Japan
2. Singapore
3. Osaka, Japan
4. Amsterdam, Netherlands
5. Sydney, Australia
6. Toronto, Canada
