Budget carrier Frontier Airlines eliminated its customer service phone line and “transitioned to fully digital communications,” per reports.
Customers can instead use the 24/7 chat service on FlyFrontier.com or in the app, as well as by text, WhatsApp, or social media.
The low-cost airline is known for charging for everything, including in-flight snacks and carry-on luggage.
Earlier this month, Frontier was fined $2.2 million by the U.S. Department of Transportation and ordered to promptly pay $222 million in customer refunds for canceled and altered flights.
