Celebs Who Are Conservative Republicans

The stage is set for the 2020 presidential election with each party’s respective nomination. Most of us all know that the majority of Hollywood swings to the liberal side and as always, the celebrity endorsements help to swing voters.
Here is a list of mainstream entertainers that in one way or another have showed affiliation or support for the Republican party. Click NEXT as you follow through our curated list of conservative celebrities.

Britney Spears

Though her political views are a little hazy (she did, after all, support Obama during his campaign — but who didn’t?), Britney was a huge George W. Bush advocate during the early years of the Iraq War. It is entirely possible, though, that the pop culture icon was merely saying the same post-9/11 rhetoric that pretty much everybody else at the time was saying.

Cindy Crawford

The supermodel was a staunch Obama supporter in 2008 but switched over to Mitt Romney in 2012. She even made an appearance in one of Romney’s fundraiser videos.

Hilary Duff

The Cinderella Story and Lizzie Mcguire Movie star is also a singer, as evidenced when she attended the second inauguration for Bush and performed a youth concert later on that evening.

Hulk Hogan

Try badmouthing Republicans around Hogan — he’ll probably body-slam you to the floor! The legendary wrestler was a Mitt Romney endorser in 2012.

Nicki Minaj

Though she never explicitly stated that she endorsed Romney for president, the pop star did include lyrics in “Mercy” in which she rapped “I’m a Republican / Voting for Mitt Romney.” She later said that the lyrics were written with sarcasm in mind, but it could just be her sly way of admitting her viewpoints in a liberal-heavy industry.

Bruce Willis

Not everyone in Hollywood is liberal. The Die Hard star has been a Republican since 1992 when he supported George H.W. Bush during his re-election campaign.

Sylvester Stallone

Despite being a staunch gun control advocate, Stallone is still an upstanding member of the Republican Party. He supported John McCain for president in 2008 and was one of the few celebs who hasn’t criticized Trump, calling him instead a “Dickensian character” and “larger than life.”

Lindsay Lohan

Everyone was surprised when in 2008 the Mean Girls star pledged her support to 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney after offering her services to Obama, calling her a “political turncoat.” Just a few weeks later she was tweeting out words of encouragement for Obama. A brief moment of confusion or just fear for revealing her true beliefs?

Mike Tyson

Though he’s never exactly been politically outspoken, the heavyweight champ did raise eyebrows when he endorsed Donald Trump for president, stating, “He should be president of the United States.”

Kid Rock

Though he identifies as a libertarian, Kid Rock also has supported Republican candidates — including Romney, who he performed for at rallies and allowed him to use “Born Free” for his campaign anthem. He also backed Ben Carson for the 2016 presidential race.

Dwayne Johnson

Though just this past year he became a politically neutral independent, The Rock has maintained himself as a Republican as far back as 2000 when he spoke at the Republican National Convention.

Patricia Heaton

The former Everybody Loves Raymond star (and currently The Middle star) is very much pro-life and is staunchly against the death penalty and abortion. Despite her political beliefs, however, she’s stated that she doesn’t have any issues with gay marriage and spoke out against Trump when he became the party’s nominee.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

As one of California’s few Republican governors, the Governator told the 2004 RNC that he chose the side because Democrats’ viewpoints during the ’60s sounded too much like the socialists in his home country of Austria. He left the socialism of his own country and didn’t want to associate himself with the similar beliefs in the U.S.

Simon Cowell

Though he isn’t a registered Republican, the current America’s Got Talent host did back conservative candidate David Cameron for prime minister during Britain’s 2010 elections.

Carrie Prejean

The former Miss USA contestant became an outspoken conservative when she spoke at the Values Voters Summit 2009 next to such other right-wing activists like Bill O’Reilly and Mitt Romney.

Vince Vaughn

The famed funnyman has been a dedicated libertarian as far back as 2008 when he supported Rand Paul and then again in 2012 as well as 2016.

Gene Simmons

The former Kiss bassist started out as a staunch advocate for the Iraq War in 2003. Just a year after Obama was elected president, Simmons stated that he regretted voting for him and ended up endorsing Romney in 2012.

Adam Sandler

As a constituent of the Judaism religion, the popular comedic actor has always leaned towards the right. Back in 2007 he gave over $2,000 to former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani’s campaign.

Chuck Norris

Apparently many of the physically fit, kickass guys tend to lean right! Since 1988 Norris has donated thousands of dollars to various Republican organizations and candidates, including Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee. He’s also very much in support of gun ownership (though that should hardly be surprising considering his background in movies and television!).

Tom Selleck

The Magnum, P.I. star is not only an outspoken supporter and spokesperson of the NRA, but he’s also on the Board of Directors. He became the spokesperson in 2003 when Charlton Heston (also conservative) had to step down due to failing health. Selleck also donated money to John McCain’s campaign in 2008.

Jessica Simpson

While she has chosen to focus far more on her singing career than making political statements, Jessica did make her viewpoints known in 2004 when she gave presidential incumbent George W. Bush her seal of approval.

Jon Voight

The Mission: Impossible and National Treasure actor used to lean left — he greatly opposed the Vietnam War — but in more recent decades he’s adopted a more conservative viewpoint. He spoke out heavily against Obama, calling him a “false prophet,” during a Republican fundraiser.

Clint Eastwood

Despite having some pretty left-field viewpoints during the ‘70s and ‘80s, the legendary actor and director has recently adopted viewpoints that lean more to the right (he describes himself as more of a Libertarian). He’s a staunch supporter of gun control and gay marriage, but he did back Romney in 2012 and most recently with Trump. He gained a lot of attention in 2012 when he appeared at the RNC and delivered a speech opposing Obama’s policy-making.

Donny Osmond

As a Mormon, Osmond’s own political viewpoints lean heavily to the right. He naturally donated money to fellow Mormon Mitt Romney’s campaign and has stated that he is against gay marriage, though he still loves homosexual individuals and doesn’t judge them.

Angie Harmon

The Law & Order and Rizzoli & Isles actress spoke at the 2004 RNC where she supported Bush. Four years later she backed McCain for president instead of Obama.

Lou Ferrigno

The former bodybuilder (and Hulk) admitted to being conservative and even wished Donald Trump well when he was asked, saying, “hoping he goes all the way.”

Robert Duvall

The famed actor was invited to George W. Bush’s 2001 inauguration and then donated money to Rudy Giuliani’s campaign in 2008. When Giuliani dropped out of the race, Duvall switched to McCain and even attended some of his rallies.

Jeff Foxworthy

As a southern-grown, blue collar comedian, Foxworthy has always maintained Republican support and even toured with Romney in 2012.

Mike Rowe

As a rough-and-tumble blue collar guy, the Dirty Jobs host sympathizes with more conservative viewpoints. He even appeared onstage during one of Mitt Romney’s stops in Ohio and expressed his concerns with the future of America.

Kelsey Grammer

Not only is the Frasier actor a staunch Republican, but he also hopes one day to run for Congress, and perhaps even for president! He’s pro-life and has backed numerous conservative candidates such as Ben Carson and Michele Bachmann.

Kristi Yamaguchi

The two-time Olympic figure skating champion agreed to star in an ad for Mitt Romney in 2012 as part of his Restore Our Future campaign. She was so grateful to him for how well he handled the ‘02 games in Salt Lake City back when he was the governor.

Ted Nugent

The country singer is so gung-ho for ‘Murica that he’s become especially known for his political activism and outspokenness against Obama’s presidency. During a Romney rally he emphatically stated, “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year,” a remark that was followed up by a visit from the Secret Service.

Willie Robertson

Coming from a family of down-to-earth entrepreneurs, the Duck Dynasty star greatly admired Trump’s audacity during the 2016 race. “He’s not afraid to tell it like it is,” he said of him. “He’s a friend of the Second Amendment….the man I’m standing behind to be the next President of the United States.”

Tila Tequila

The social media queen and star of MTV’s A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila posted a five minute long YouTube video in which she stated that despite at first thinking of Trump as “just another puppet” who she “laughed at” and considered “a joke,” she changed her mind and saw him as the ideal candidate, soon after becoming a full-blown supporter.

Wayne Newton

“Mr. Las Vegas” himself not only predicted that Obama would become the worst U.S. president in the history books, but he was also a true Trumpster during the campaign. “….he tells it like it is,” he said while singing his praises.

Victoria Jackson

The former SNL star was commonly found at Tea Party events for years proclaiming her disdain for Obama’s policy making and his contradictions from his own personal beliefs. She also joined the talk show Politichicks in 2011.

Alex Trebek

The former Jeopardy! host is very much like the majority of game show hosts who adopt conservative values and mindsets. Perhaps it’s the “from rags to riches” ideology mimicking the classic American story that game shows in general take on, creating a favorable environment for conservative hosts.

James Caan

Though you might assume that the staunch New Yorker would have more liberal ideologies, the Godfather actor has stated that he’s “not a goddamn Hollywood liberal, I’m not.” To further drive home the point, he states that Fox News is the only thing on television he watches.

Caitlyn (Bruce) Jenner

The former Olympic decathlete has admitted that “I have gotten more flak for being a conservative Republican than I have for being trans.” In 2016, Jenner admitted that while not the ideal candidate, Trump would at least be good for women’s issues, stating how much she disliked Hillary.

Alice Cooper

“The Godfather of Shock Rock” has stated emphatically that he tries to remain as least political as possible, though he was a big George W. Bush supporter back in the day.
