Alaska Airlines are asking their passengers to embrace the festive season by donning ugly holiday sweaters – and doing so could earn you a major perk!
The airline, in celebration of National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day, will offer priority boarding to anyone brave enough to show up in an ugly holiday sweater on Friday, December 20 – or a cute one too.

Alaska Airlines are asking anyone participating to share their ugly sweater pictures to social media using the hashtags #UglySweaterDay and #iFlyAlaska.

Even if you’re not wearing an ugly Christmas sweater, the airline will be treating all of their passengers to some festive fun, including holiday-themed boarding music and free holiday movies onboard throughout the month of December.

“We know holiday travel can be stressful for some, which is why we’ve made sure flying with the ‘merrier carrier’ this time of year is an experience that brings nonstop joy to all our guests. We love going above and beyond to make your trip memorable; celebrating Ugly Sweater Day is just another way we’re making the holidays a priority,” said Natalie Bowman, Alaska Airlines’ managing director of marketing and advertising.

This marks the third year in a row Alaska Airlines have celebrated National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day.
