Staying hydrated at a Disney Park is a necessity, especially if you’re visiting one of the Orlando locations in the middle of summer. But at approximately $3.50 a pop for a bottle of water, it’s likely to leave your wallet feeling particularly parched.

Fortunately, there are numerous water fountains scattered around the park, so you can always bring a reusable water bottle with you and refill as you move your way around the happiest place on earth – or, as Reader’s Digest points out you can grab a cup of free iced water using this little known secret.
According to the book Walt Disney World Hacks, all counter-service restaurants will give you a cup of free water – with, or without ice – for free. All you need to do is ask!

As Reader’s Digest reports, park visitors simply need to ask the cashier for some water. You will be issued with a receipt to take over to the food pick-up counter where one of the Cast Members will give you a free cup of water!
