Vegan cruise passengers will no longer be relegated to the Windjammer Buffet in search of suitable menu items thanks to Royal Caribbean’s new three-course plant-based menu.

The cruise line announced they are adding a plant-based menu to the main dining room on all of their cruise ships – and the offerings looks delicious.
According to Cruise Critic, the new menu will feature such vegan delicacies as orzo pasta stew with green veggies, edamame stuffed portobello mushrooms and vegan spaghetti bolognese.

Royal Caribbean will also offer vegan desserts, with a scrumptious sounding toffee “cheesecake” with dark chocolate and a peanut butter crust.

According to Plant Based News, Royal Caribbean will still offer plant-based food items at their Windjammer Buffet for those who want to dine in a more casual setting.

“As the number of people and families adopting a vegan lifestyle continues to grow, we wanted to formalize our vegan offerings in a dedicated menu (available upon request in the Main Dining Room) where guests can explore options and choose their dish—it’s all part of the dining experience,” Linken D’Souza, Vice President of Food and Beverage at Royal Caribbean International, told Veg News. “It’s important to meet vacationers’ dietary choices.”
